Kerry's Kayleigh Cronin on how getting injured can lead to 'a very lonely time'
Sport has always played a huge part in Kerry star Kayleigh Cronin's life but when an injury rears its ugly head, many can find this time not only painful but also lonely.
2024 was the Kingdom's year as the girls beat Galway 3-14 to 11 points and went on to become All-Ireland champions and lift the Brendan Martin Cup after a 31-year wait.
But for Kayleigh, after returning to the game in 2018, the next two years for the full-back would be a challenge for her on and off the field.
This year Kayleigh has teamed up with AIB, the proud supporter of GOAL Mile - an opportunity for people in every community in Ireland to raise money for the charity by walking a mile this winter.
