Elizabeth attended public school in Columbus, Georgia and Miami, Florida. After graduation she continued her education and attended Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina.
Elizabeth met her husband, Horace Johnson in Miami, Florida. They were united in Holy Matrimony and their union was blessed with 58 years of love and devotion to each other and a beautiful family blessed by God.
Elizabeth received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of twelve. She was raised in Sunday School and church.
Upon moving to Denmark, S.C., Horace, and Elizabeth attended Central Baptist Church where she served as the church Secretary, and taught Sunday School for many years. Charlotte Elizabeth Johnson, 89 of Piedmont passed away on May 27, 2021.
On October 10, 1931, she was born to the late Jeff and Edna (Finley) Harris and raised by her late parents, Felix and Louisa Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. “Bob” Johnson, whom she lovingly called “Johnny”; daughter, Deborah Johnson; son Robert C. Johnson, Jr; grandson, Arthur P. Clifford II; granddaughter, DéBetra Clifford; step-son, Robert A. Washington; son-in-law, Arthur P. Clifford I; sister-in-law, Carol Johnson; brother-in-law, Harlan Fairfax; and her siblings, Alice and Wesley Finney; Marie and Isadore LaSuer, Wayne Harris and Edward Sumpter.
Charlotte served in the United States Air Force. She retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. Charlotte was an avid bowler and loved to attend drive-in movies with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going out of town to go on shopping trips. Charlotte was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
